17th EDITION WIRING REGULATIONS

17^th Edition Wiring Regulations training course with the City and Guilds exams

The Institute of Engineering and Technology publish the 17^th Edition Wiring Regulations as British Standard BS7671:2008. The Regulations apply to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations, also additions and alterations to existing installations.

The City & Guilds qualifications are aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals needing to update and enhance their understanding of the wiring regulations. City & Guilds 2382-10 and 2382-20 are accredited at Level 3 by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority.

Candidate entry requirements & training progression

The 2382-10 training course (full course) has no formal entry requirements however candidates will require a basic knowledge of electrical science and installation and have the potential to successfully gain the qualification. This qualification is aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience.

The 2382-20 update training course has specific entry requirements; please check the diagram on the candidate entry requirements web page to confirm which course you can be enrolled on.
