Leadership

Leadership

A good leader will be able to take the team through good and bad times with little effect on achievement.  Some people will have us believe that leadership is an art and people have to be natural leaders or born leaders.  We believe that leadership is a skill, more a collection of related skills, and like all skills they can be learned and put into practice.

Who will benefit?

This course will be of benefit to all managers and supervisors with a responsibility for leading a team or people or a department.  The course is also suitable for those people who deputise for leaders and those about to take on the role of leadership.

This is a two day course designed to help participants:

·   Understand the role of the leader

·   Understand their own development needs

·   Practice the skills of leadership

·   Transfer their learning back to the workplace

·   Develop an action plan

Content

·   Functions of the leader/manager

·   Leadership styles

·   Essential leadership skills
