Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) training,

This qualification is designed for those who undertake the inspection and testing of Portable Appliance equipment and are required to interpret results, record findings and label equipment.  Candidates need basic electrical knowledge and are required to demonstrate practical ability to carry out tests and correctly record the results.

Open Learning Option,

Register to take an exam with IPS and receive Open Learning training.  We will arrange a convenient time for you to visit IPS and have a 30 minute briefing on the course.

1.      We tell you what you need to learn, what you need to practice, what competence tests we will do with you.

2.      You arrange a return visit to IPS and then sit the on-line test.  Both together take about 2 hours and you know instantly whether you pass or not.
