Quality Assured Programmes
Quality Assured Programmes

At IPS International we offer a range of management development programmes specifically tailored to the needs of your business. Nationally approved by the ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management), these programmes offer flexibility in terms of both the learning approach and the means of assessment

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs)
We offer a range of NVQs in Management - these programmes allow selection of a range of modules relevant to the work situation leading to the achievement of a nationally recognised qualification. These qualifications are geared to 4 levels:

Level 2 for Team Leaders who
  • Involve the application of knowledge and skills in a significant range of varied work activities, performed in a variety of contexts, and some of which are complex or non-routine, and
  • Has some degree of personal; autonomy and responsibility, and
  • Collaborates with others through membership of a team

Level 3 for First Line Managers who

  • Operate within tightly defined areas of responsibility
  • May have some opportunity for taking decisions and managing budgets
  • Are responsible for achieving specific results by using resources effectively
  • Allocate work to team members, colleagues or contractors

Level 4 for Middle Managers who

  • Allocate work to others
  • Achieve specific results by using resources effectively
  • Carry out policy in defined areas of authority
  • Contribute to broader activities such as change programmes and recruitment

Level 5 for Senior Managers who

  • Have operational responsibility for substantial programmes & resources
  • Have a broad span of control
  • Proactively identify and implement change and quality improvements
  • Negotiate budgets and contracts
  • Lead high level meetings

NVQ’s are competence based and knowledge and skills are assessed in the workplace – in conjunction with a portfolio of evidence assembled by the candidate. The whole approach is candidate driven which allows for individuals to gain the qualification at a pace that suits them.

Other Management Qualifications from the ILM
For those who prefer the more traditional route to management qualifications i.e. a structured programme of study we are able to offer Introductory Awards for those new into supervisory management, Certificate Awards for the less experienced supervisor, and Diploma Awards for established managers. Each of these programmes can be delivered at two levels, the introductory level or the full qualification. Certificates are awarded in each case for successful completion of assignments or projects related to the learning.
