Transportation Driver CPC Training From the 10th September 2013 the EU requires that all Bus and Coach drivers must achieve their Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). From 10th September 2014, all Lorry Drivers must achieve the same.
Why not think about getting your drivers fully trained to the latest NVQ Standards and gain the Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Customers and local Councils, who are looking for added value, will see that your company employs Drivers who are fully trained to the current best practice and that, as an organisation, you train your staff to meet future legal requirements.
Approved Courses from an Accredited Training Centre
| All courses for Driver CPC must be accredited by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT), in addition all training centres offering Driver CPC must receive centre approval from JAUPT. IPS is a JAUPT approved training centre and we offer JAUPT accredited Driver CPC courses that will help your company adhere to the legislation helping you to improve your business, win contracts and "stay legal" in 2013 for Bus and Coach and 2014 for Lorry drivers. We have training centres in Rochester and Dover in Kent or the training can be delivered on site. |

Funded Qualifications reduce the cost We can significantly reduce the costs of your CPC training by embedding the CPC requirements into a Level 2 National Vocational Qualification Certificate or Diploma.
The qualifications available are, - Level 2 National Vocational Qualification Diploma in Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving (Bus and Coach), - Level 2 National Vocational Qualification Diploma in Driving Goods Vehicles (Vans), - Level 2 Certificate in Driving Goods Vehicles (Rigid Vehicles) - Level 2 NVQ in Road Passenger Transport Vehicle Driving for Community Transport Drivers - Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving Instruction These NVQs take approximately 6 months to achieve and can fit in with in your normal duties; drivers will achieve their NVQ and CPC. Drivers will then not be required to attend any further training until after 2013 or 2014. For further details on these qualifications hyperlink to our Funded Qualifications for Drivers webpage (opens in new page).
At present we have a limited number of funded places available for the NVQ. It is this funding which enables us to reduce the cost of the CPC training. Places will be offered on a first come first served basis.
Raising Awareness The majority of driver development is about changing driver attitudes and behaviour. In many instances this cannot be done by compulsion. Even if this is used, immediate reaction to proposed measures may be dismissive so the benefits have to be sold to the staff. Experience has shown that staff respond well to initiatives that result in personal benefits such as safety and time wastage. We also offer many other types of training some funded, some on a commercial basis as well as bespoke training.
