Management Programme in Team Leading
 
The Management Programme in Team Leading has been designed for team leaders with a degree of authority for managing resources, looking to motivate their team members as well as achieve agreed outputs.

THE LEARNER - Now a combined diploma sized knowledge and competence qualification, this one year programme gives learners the opportunity to develop the core competences needed by team leaders in today’s dynamic business world. First by imbedding the knowledge needed to complete the activities and tasks required by today’s team leaders and supervisors. Then by allowing them to display their competence in carrying out the tasks required as part of their day to day role. (should already be employed in a team leader or managerial position).

THE PROGRAMME – This one year programme is supported with 5 half day workshops run about 6 weekly, a Diploma, Functional Skills, ERR (Employees Rights and Responsibilities) and PLTS (Personal Learning and Thinking Skills)

The Diploma (Competence & Knowledge) - ILM Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading
The Diploma is awarded by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and consists of units including Managing Personal Performance and Development, Communicating Work-Related Information, Leading and Managing a Team, Principles of Team Leading, and Understanding Business, plus other optional units.
The learner is required to produce a portfolio of evidence for assessment in the units and pass some multiple choice exams. This will involve visits to the workplace by an assessor during and after the workshop programme.

Functional Skills - The functional skills included in this programme consist of maths, English and ICT supported by on-line tests. They are provided as an on-line support package and a separate provision with the assessor. Exemptions may be identified.

Employees Rights and Responsibilities Workbook - The Employees Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) workbook has been produced to ensure understanding of the Employment Responsibilities and Rights (ERR) that form part of the Apprenticeship programme.

Personal Learning & Thinking Skills - The Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) are made up of independent enquirers, creative thinkers, reflective learners, team workers, self-managers and effective participants and must be achieved and evidenced by the apprentice as part of the framework requirements.

The workshops are run at our training centre on the Medway City Estate, Rochester in Kent ME2 4DU.

THE COST - There is some part funding* available through the government (100% funding for 16-18 year-old apprentices) at around 50% for learners who are 19+.
The normal expectation is that the employer pays a fee which amounts to between £900 and £1,200.
However, for a limited time, we are reducing this to only £250 + VAT and you can spread the payments, interest free, over the first two months.
